Barley is a grain, member of the grass family that has been an integral part of the human diet since ancient times. Due to its nutritional value, barley is often used today in the preparation of various types of bread.
Nutrigold barley flour is obtained by careful processing of the barley grain in a strictly controlled environment. This 100% organic flour contains a low content of salt and sugar and is ideally combined with wheat flour.
The decent nutty aromas and puffy texture of barley flour are an ideal combination for making everyone's favourite pancakes and sweet biscuits.
Vegan friendly, barley flour is low in saturated fats and is recommended for athletes due to its excellent nutritional value.

Suggested use:
Barley flour is most often used in place of or blended with standard wheat flour in the preparation of pancakes, pies, cookies, muffins and other baked goods. Due to low gluten levels, this type of flour is not often used on its own in bread mixtures. Mixing with wheat flour will give better results and dough moisture.
