Meet ''the queen of all rice''!

Basmati brown rice is a type of long-grain rice and is native to South Asia. The word basmati comes from Devanagari and in translation means fragrant, and is also called the “queen of all rice”.

It has a mild nutty taste and a pleasing sweet-floral scent that will enchant all your senses. It can be prepared in combination with various spices, nuts and vegetables, and if mixed with milk, it can also be a delicious dessert. On average, it is cooked faster than wholemeal rice which is great if you want a quick and nutritious meal.

Nutrigold brown basmati 100% organic rice is produced under controlled conditions and makes an excellent source of carbohydrates. Perfect in aromatic dishes such as curry because it does not dominate other spices, but absorbs and complements them.

It's easy to prepare and with the help of a baking mould, it is easily served in various forms as a side dish or main course.

Suggested use:

Rinse well before cooking in order to wash out the starch. Use 1 part rice to 2 parts water. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for approximately 30 minutes without stirring.
