Unlike commonly used green peas, butterfly pea is obtained from a beautiful flower, grown in tropical climates and known for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine where it has been used to reduce negative effects of stress and anxiety.

The flower is handpicked and milled into a fine powder in order to preserve all of its valuable nutrients. 

It is one of the best natural blue pigments for beverages and food. One of the most distinctive characteristics of the butterfly pea flower is that it will change colour when the pH balance changes, magically turning from blue to purple when combined with an acidic liquid such as lemon and lime juice.

Suggested use:
