Ajvar is a seasonal dish in Macedonia, always made in late summer and early autumn, just after the harvest of bell peppers, when many households also can or bottle their own ajvar for use throughout the winter season. A close relative of lutenica and pindjur, irresistible Greenfood ajvar is made from roasted bell pepper and eggplant from controlled organic agriculture without added sugar, gluten, preservatives and additives. 

In Southeast Europe, a homeland of this highly aromatic and flavourful relish, ajvar is typically spread on bread or served as a side dish with grilled meats and vegetables.
