Green clay is renowned for its numerous beneficial properties and as such is one of the most used ingredients in natural cosmetics. 
Clay has been used from ancient times as an ingredient for maintaining skin beauty and health, so no wonder it was used in traditional medicine in treating various skin diseases.

This type of clay may be used for various purposes. It will leave your skin silky smooth when prepared as a relaxing bath; a face mask will minimize the visibility of pores while a hair mask can deeply clean the scalp area.

Ingredients:

Green clay (illite)

Suggested use:

In a glass or wooden bowl, add 2 or 3 tablespoons of green clay to a little mineral or floral water (roughly 2cm above clay). Leave to stand for 2 hours and mix well to obtain a creamy, smooth paste.

Apply a thick layer of the clay to the desired area (1-2 cm thick) and leave for 1-2 hours.

As a compress: Apply using a thin cloth and place the pack directly on the desired area. After use, rinse well with lukewarm water.

Warning:

For external use only. Do not allow the clay to harden completely. Avoid contact with eyes. If in eyes, rinse thoroughly.
