Cocoa (lat. Theobroma cacao) is a small evergreen tree from the family Sterculiaceae that grows in the tropical forests of America. Translated from the Latin name, its fruits are called ''food of the gods'' and are traditionally used to produce cocoa powder, cocoa butter, chocolate and chocolate liqueur.

Cocoa powder is made by grinding cocoa beans and removing fat (known as cocoa butter) after which we get high-quality Nutrigold cocoa powder with a divine smell and taste.

Let's stop here for the moment and have a look at its nutritional side. Cocoa is a rich source of fibre and protein that help maintain muscle mass and normal bones. It is also remarkably rich in antioxidants, which are essential for the normal functioning of the body.

Suggested use:

Recommended daily intake is up to two tablespoons per day.

Add to hot and cold beverages, porridge, muesli and other sweets. In order to make yourself a warm cup of organic cocoa, add 2 teaspoons to your favourite herbal drink. Add sweetener to taste.
