Erythritol is a natural sweetener and sugar alcohol, used as a food additive and sugar substitute. Even though it is naturally found in small amounts in certain foods like mushrooms, pears, watermelon and grapes, vegetables and fermentation processed food like cheese, wine and soy sauce, on a larger scale erythritol is created when a type of yeast ferments glucose from corn or wheat starch.

Nutrigold erythritol is a natural sweetener with a cooling, refreshing and sweet flavour that completely replaces traditionally used sugar in preparing low-calorie sweets and desserts making them much healthier. Aside from being an excellent sugar substitute, bear in mind that this natural sweetener can not be used in bread with yeast and can not be caramelised.

Suggested use:
