Selenium is an essential component of many enzymes and proteins that cannot fulfil their functions in the body without this trace element. One of the most important functions of selenium is to support the body’s cellular defences. With a vegetarian or vegan diet, during pregnancy, during physical exertion and in old age, there may be an increased need for selenium. In such cases, it makes sense to take selenium as a dietary supplement.

META-CARE® Selenium contains sodium selenate, which can be absorbed particularly quickly by the body. The formula is ideally supplemented with high-quality barley grass powder.
