Hummus is a thick paste from ground chickpeas originating from the Middle East and the Mediterranean where it is widely used for over two millennia. Due to their high protein content, chickpeas are often referred to as fibre abundant ''plant-based meat''.

Suggested use:

Use as a spread on bread or in sandwiches. Great in combination with fresh vegetables, fruit or even as a salad dressing.
