Millet as a baby food... Because babies know what they want!

At the early age between four and six months old, a weaning process begins, meaning that babies start exploring and discovering new flavours, aromas and textures. 

Therefore it is very important to provide delicious, yet healthy meals such as this millet recipe that we have in store for you today!

Millet is a whole grain that is packed with protein, antioxidants, and nutrients and provide numerous health benefits. In addition, it is naturally gluten-free and is such a great choice for people intolerant or allergic to it, and especially for babies.

Instructions:

  1. Peel and dice carrots and apple.
  2. Mix all ingredients in a pan and bring to boil, lower the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  3. Serve straight from the pan or blend with a hand blender. 

Additional advice:

  • feel free to use any other grain (amaranth for instance) instead of a millet
  • alternatively, millet can be also cooked in milk
