Considering that its growing season is the beginning of spring, wild garlic is the perfect food for a spring detox.
Today, many prefer it over garlic, because it grows wild, is not contaminated, and is more healing than garlic. It contains allicin, essential oils and polysaccharides. Young leaves contain up to 20 to 50mg of vitamin C and carotene. When eaten, a fresh plant ties toxins and fat from the blood, vessels, stomach and gut eliminating them from the body.
Traditionally being used as an immunity enhancer, wild garlic is also known as a ''blood purificator''. With its flavour and aroma being very similar to garlic ones, leaves of wild garlic may be used as an ingredient for salads and stews. The recipe we have in store for you today is for delicious pesto that can be served with crackers or pasta. This recipe is easy to make as long you have a blender.
