Sauce was created in 1980 by ethnic Chinese immigrant from Vietnam David Tran.
Versatile sauce for which true lovers claim that there are no dishes that this sauce does not go well with. In Asia it is most often served with fried noodles and spring rolls. In Western cuisine, sriracha is added to various dishes, most often meat such as hamburgers and steaks, but to fish dishes, eggs, soups, cocktails. It often serves as a dipping sauce for a variety of sliced vegetables, chips and tempura.
