Columbus discovered that the inhabitants of Central America, the Toltec and Aztec Indians, were producing “Xocolātl” (xoc = bitter, atle = water) from water, chilli peppers and cocoa beans, a vitality drink with aphrodisiac properties. He brought cocoa to the Europeans who added sugar to it. They were so delighted with the properties of cocoa they gave it the Latin name “theobroma” = food of the Gods.

The main ingredient of this crunchy dessert is cocoa beans, cultivated without artificial fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides, like the other plants used to make this organic product.
