Do you know that in a bag of popular instant hot cocoa drink, its allegedly main ingredients sit on the 5th place on an ingredients list? Listed above, you can find sugars, corn syrup, a mixture of different refined and processed oils, all of which of course in much higher concentration and potentially harmful. 

We suggest a slightly different strategy, a warm cocoa latte made with only four natural and healthy ingredients that will provide instant warmth, refreshment and affect your overall health in the long terms. 

Incredibly creamy, with a flavour that is out of this world!

Besides cocoa and all of its health benefits, this lucuma latte ''surprisingly'' contains lucuma powder. Lucuma fruit falls from the tree before it is ripe and must be stored on dry hay until it softens. When ripe, the lucuma is carefully washed before cutting into small pieces.

The parts are dehydrated at a temperature below 45°C, which helps the lucuma retain its nutrients and remains a completely raw product. After dehydration, the dried fruit is ground into a fine powder that can be stored for up to two years without losing flavour and nutrients.

In addition to acting as a spice or sweetener, lucuma is also great in smoothies that need extra flavour. For easy preparation, just mix the lucuma powder in a glass with milk or with water.

Lucuma tastes sweet but contains only 17% sugar, and all sugars are natural and unrefined. Lucuma also has a high fibre content, which contributes to the normal functioning of the intestines. On the other hand, just one cup of hot cocoa contains twice as many antioxidants as a cup of red wine, three times more antioxidants than green and five times more than red tea.
