Hot chocolate is a combination of two favourite ingredients of the winter days - chocolate and a hot drink. Since ancient times, hot chocolate has been used to stimulate all senses and recharge batteries. It was first discovered by the Aztecs and later by Europeans among whom it was known as the best way to treat stomach problems.

This beverage will provide protection to the cardiovascular system, relieve coughs and soothe stomach problems, but there are many more reasons for a cup of hot chocolate. Especially for this vegan version of a hot beverage, which has neither sugar nor fat. Let's face it, this irresistibly fragrant and warm drink will warm both your soul and body on cold winter days!

Instructions:

  1. Dissolve kuzu in 1 dl of a herbal drink of your choice, and put the other part of the milk in a pot and warm it up.
  2. Add cocoa powder to the melted kuzu and mix well to prevent lumps.
  3. When melted, pour this mixture into the heated milk and add the chocolate pieces. Stir and serve.

Be careful with kuzu and overheating. Warmer the milk, thicker the kuzu, so it is best to keep the milk really warm, not hot because you will hardly be able to drink it.

You can enrich vegan hot chocolate with spices such as cinnamon or ginger and thus enhance the healing note of delicious sips.
