Nutrigold black rice is 100% unrefined (not processed) rice and as such arguably the best type of rice available. This type of rice gets its signature black-purple colour from a pigment called anthocyanin, which has potent antioxidant properties. It also provides a longer feeling of satiety due to the high content of dietary fibre.

When cooked, rice increases in size three to four times which is ideal for salads with fruits and vegetables. When combined with basil and tomato, her slightly smoked and nutty flavour will create a perfectly balanced harmony of flavours.

Suggested use:

Rinse well before cooking in boiling salty water. Cook for around 35 minutes or until tender. Rice and water ratio should be a minimum of 1:2.
