Cranberry, lat. Vaccinium macrocarpon is a bushy plant with red fruits, also called "bounce berries" because if dropped, fresh fruit will bounce. Native to North America where it was used as food, medicine and for religious purposes. Three most common varieties are American, mountain cranberry and European.
