Arrowroot powder is a white tasteless powder consisting of starch extracted from various tropical plants. It is used to thicken sauces, soups and other foods.
Since it does not contain protein and gluten, Nutrigold arrowroot powder has twice the thickening power of wheat flour and is characterized by a very low-fat level. Unlike corn starch, Nutrigold arrowroot powder creates perfect density and does not break down in combination with acidic ingredients such as fruit juice.
