For easy preparation of dishes characterised by perfect density!
Arrowroot powder is a white tasteless powder consisting of starch extracted from various tropical plants. It is used to thicken sauces, soups and other foods.
Since it does not contain protein and gluten, Nutrigold arrowroot powder has twice the thickening power of wheat flour and is characterized by a very low-fat level. Unlike corn starch, Nutrigold arrowroot powder creates perfect density and does not break down in combination with acidic ingredients such as fruit juice.
Due to allergies and sensitivity to corn or to avoid products full of GMOs and pesticides, more and more people (at least in the western world) are looking for substitutes and alternatives to cornstarch.
Its superiority is highlighted in easy adaptability to various dishes because it does not contain flavour. It is also resistant to freezing, which significantly differs from corn starch, whose mixtures are prone to breakage after freezing and thawing.
Try a thickening agent with many benefits - Nutrigold arrowroot powder!
Can be used in baking, roasting and frying. Use cold water to make a mash and prevent coagulation. Always add the slurry at the very end of the recipe. You don’t really want to cook with arrowroot as it will break down at higher temperatures, so stir in right before serving. Arrowroot holds up beautifully when used with acidic ingredients or frozen, so feel free to batch cook and freeze your recipes.
